In one of the tearjerkers that I read on the clumber spaniel list, there was a line in it about icecream being bad for dogs.

Is this true? Or is it like us and as it's high in fat it should be given in moderation?

It's just that it was hot in England over the weekend and Loki polished off 3 icecreams over 4 days.

Oh, I hope not :( Holly adores ice-cream and has a small cornet filled with Vanilla Ice-cream every sunday when the children have theirs.

If it is, thats news to me :-)

My lot have eaten ice cream for years to no ill effects.

Well, apart from Bear that is ......he prefers to roll in his

Did it stain his coat? Loki sat in a strawberry and now has a big red blotch on her back leg. I'd wash her, but I'm too chicken :)

LOL ... don't you fancy a *pink rinse* clumber 9th? :P

I insisted the slug place himself in the river, when he did it :D most of it came off, and the others spent the rest of the day licking him, but he still has a red area the size of a 50p on his shoulder blade  he still smells *sweet* even now.

I'm too chicken coz it takes two of us to get her in the shower and then she takes great pride in rubbing her wet, hairy body over the entire house, so that you get a white tide mark 21" off the floor.
