Just been to vets to take my girl in for hip scoring and there was this gorgeous puppy.  I thought she was a lab then the postman came in and said ahhhh what a gorgeous lab, the bloke said actually she's a Border Collie!!!

Do Border Collies come in a gold colour?

Yes they do.  There are not many of them in this country, they are called ee red.  Surprised it looked like a lab though, it should have the classic white markings.

Did it look like the following link Here

Border collies come in every colour under the sun! Another one of the wonderful things about them. :)

This link http://www.arnpriors.me.uk/arnpriors_029.htm shows some newborn pups as puppies will not have the darker richer colour until top coat comes in.

LOL in the ISDS world there is no such thing as the wrong colour or markings it's what is between the ears that counts, there are black & tan BCs with no white on them for example ;)

She was 11 weeks and a lot lighter than the newborns on there.  She was a very sand almost white lab. colour.  She was gorgeous though :d

She might have been a very light sable then.  It would be very unsusual to see the ee red at the moment, there are only a handful over here.

sounds like it could be a Oz red bought over from Oz not sure if anyone has managed to breed them over here yet.

An Oz red's proper name is ee red. There has been one litter to my knowledge.
