Liquid Glucose?  I have had no luck with any of the major supermarkets, chemists or health stores.  Does anyone know where I can find some?  Thanks.

Don't know if you have any near you, but try a specialist sugarcraft shop - liquid glucose is used in several types of icing.

It's probably easiest to just buy glucose powder and mix with water? That's what I do.  Health food shops usually have it.

Did you know! that liquid glucose is also good for painting on your tonsils,
if you have bad tonsilitis.

Powdered glucose wouldn't be a suitable substitute, it needs to be liquid which is a bit of a misnomer as it's not liquid at all more gloopy like clear honey which is very thick.

I didn't see the AWT recipe but was reading Sunday Times and receipe in there for honeycomb. The header from Gordon Ramsey was 'if you are only going to make one of these desserts, make the honeycomb'.  Easier said than done is my reply at the moment.  I still can't find the blooming stuff .  Thanks for the tips though, I am perservering.

You should be able to get it online at the link I put on the post above.  I've only ever used it for sugarcraft, so don't know about honeycomb, but as Jackyjat says, it has a syrupy consistency and powdered glucose disolved in water wouldn't work the same way.

If you go to your local Tesco pharmacy they should be able to order it for you direct from their suppliers.I ordered one for a customer about 3 weeks back took 3 days to come in and cost £2.65

Try a large branch of Boots.  They stock it alongside the complan, lucozade tablets, etc.

The jar that I have in my cupboard at the moment is 'Supercook' brand but I can't remember where I got it.  It was probably with all the cake cases, bicarb of soda, and food colouring as it's the same make.

You can buy Glucose Syrup 227grams from Pillars Products for £1.15 Plus postage which should be no more than about £2.00 second class.
You will find that they put it in a wide neck jar so you can fit a table spoon in.

we used to sell it on the pharmacy in tesco behind the counter it seems a lot of the bigger tesco stores do the same and if not they may beable to order it for you as we did on several occasions if we had customers asking for larger quantities
