I know it is a silly title and does not really explain what I am aking but any help will be appreciated.
My older gsd has always had hairloss at the very top of his front legs at the back I must admit I always put it down to carpet burn or sitting on concrete.
Now though the younger one has had a little patch form no bigger than a 1/2p coin which is starting to go that way, does anybody know of a way to prevent it or deal with it, also the younger has ever since we have had him had the ame thing on his back paws just above his back pads also about the size of a penny.
Any ideas on cause, prevention? I did wonder about slathering his shoulder in aqueous cream and putting a bandage on unfortunately that would last about 2 seconds plus it is a really difficult place.
thanks

Thanks Teri
Yes thats the things did not know what to call them I wouldn't know a pastern from a pasty.
I could understand that with the older one he was and does always lay down on concrete you show him a bed or fluffy pillow and he pees on it and goes back to the concrete - I hasten to say he only does this outside. he is more of an outside dog though he roams freely from 4am to around 7pm when he decides to come in the house.
The younger one thoiugh spends his time with me though in the office where he has dog bed, blanket armchair and sofa?
Ah well.
Will try the e45 though.
