I own a 10 month old bullmastiff and I have been have many problems with his behaviour my vet refered me to a behaviourist who consequently has said my bullmastiff behaviour is due to genetics and bad breeders and has advised long term medication and a back to basics for training and socialising which will cost alot of money.  SO of course I am very unhappy with this outcome has anyone any advise about legal issues/terms regarding the breeder or am I on my own with this.

If you brought your pup from a reputable breeder I'm sure they will want to help so your best bet is to get back in touch with them.If they were not a reputable breeder then this is not an option

Hi here's a bullmastiff forum what i use and nuttyhousewife regularly you might get some help here http--ukbullmastiffs.proboards46.com-index.cgiaction=login.  It does depend on the circumstances where you stand legally but alot more information is needed you would be better joining here or the forum which i've put. It probably wont have nothing to do with linebreeding but alot to do with people using a stud dog with a bad temperment. Best of luck.

Warm regards Susan

Can't help on the bullmastiff behaviour, I'm afraid - not my breed - but I would just remind you that it would be unwise to put names on a public forum!

Hi Sorry to hear your having problems with your bully, if you want to contact me please feel free to do so. I have had bullmastiff for quite a few years now ands am always willing to try and help people.
Also i don't know were you are in the country, but the Southern Bullmastiff Society is holding it's Champ show this weekend (7th Aug)at Gerards Cross (just off the M4) it would be a good place to come and see other bullies and talk to owners and breeders.
Email me if you need help/advise - luconevar@yahoo.co.uk.

I'm also on the other bullmastiff site that a few of the other poster have talked about.
Regards
Karen.
