I am looking for a stud dog for my wolf grey GSD bitch, she is 3 years old and has been hip scored, I would like a longcoat GSD, or a Northern Inuit stud for her, last time she was mated but reabsorbed, and I didnt get my money back that I had paid for stud fee, so this time I would like to pay when the pups are born, or a pick of litter. Can anyone who is interested please e mail me at Nighteyes_wolfsong@yahoo.co.uk. Thankyou.

If a bitch re-absorbs, it's nobodys fault. That's just one of the things that bitch owners have to accept when trying to breed a litter. My bitch has recently had to be spayed at 5 weeks in whelp due to dead and macerated pups. These things happen. It's one of those things, one of the pitfalls of being a breeder. So to begrudge a stud fee on those grounds is unrealistic as best. The stud dog owner undoubtedly spent time and effort on you and your bitch, and that's what you pay for, not for a guaranteed pay day.

A stud fee is payment for the services of the dog, not payment for a litter. If a mating took place then the stud fee is payable.
