Well i have my dress at home now,and was worried sick about the costs,(it cost me £75 nearly 8 years ago)i nearly had a heart attack when she told me how much........£35 for 3 fittings and all the work she has done, how does this woman make a living???
i know it doesnt sound much but i gave an extra 5er as i was expecting a lot more.she insisted she couldnt take the extra but i insisted and eventually she relented.so all i need to do now is find the photographer money and the registrar money, the hotel has been payed and its all systems go,i looked at the bridal suite on saturday its so nice even if it only for 1 night, but no kids no barking dogs.Just me and my new husband all alone for 1 night i cant wait.1 week on saturday i am so excited but stressed in case anything goes wrong so i have now broken out in spots on my face and a nice coldsore, and a very dodgy throat, but the throat could be from singing karaoke on saturday,we went for a lovely meal then for a cheap night out in the local wmc took over the karaoke machine and had a lovely night out,
anyway will keep you up to date

Wow, you must be so excited!  I got married last September and I wish I could have my day over again.  I didn't pick my dress up until the day before the wedding, and nearly had a heart attack because the shop was closed!  It opened at 9.30am thankfully!  (I was there at 9.00am sharp obviously - hence the panic!)

Enjoy every single second of your special day, and trust me, worring about spots/sore throats/coldsores isn't going to get you anywhere!  You'll be fine, and you'll look gorgeous I'm sure!  Every bride does on her wedding day!

Good luck!!

I know it sounds silly, but the first time i married i was pregnant,i was on anti depressants when i met him and for most of the relationship,we got together on lies(on his side)which i didnt find out about until a few weeks before the wedding,i caught on after a month of seeing him,i knew my dad was traditional and didnt want to upset any one,so went along with what i thought was right, didnt enjoy a second of the wedding preperations dress etc,but i was so used to pretending to be happy, always was(pretending)Right that aside...
with russ i have so loved every single minute of being with him planning etc,it has been a struggle i wont lie.
i dont have to pretend with russ i really am happy, people have said if they hadnt known i had had the snip they would think i was pregnant, apparently i am glowing.and i feel it from the inside out...
i just want it to hurry up so i can see him all suited up i know it will be him who steals the limelight :D but i dont care,he has been through so much s**t himself and has so many issues from the past, but has managed to put them to the side so we can get on with our lifes...
i know i am probably droning on but i cant help it,i cant wait for the photos to keep going through them,i can see them now its very strange like i already have the memories of the wedding even though it hasnt happened yet

Hey, never mind the spots/sore thorat/cold sores, they will all be gone by the time the big day finally gets here :D I know it is difficult but try to drink lots of water, it does wonders for your skin! :D

The hotel sounds nice, you make sure you make the most of it, no matter how tired you are!! :P

just had a pick me up,dont think its coldsores now,its russ who needs to shave more often, you know what i mean the day after a shave and the stubble is so sharp,i think its a rash from that,i will continue to use zovirax just in case though :D

Just incase it is coldsores (which are often stress induced)...a daily dose of L-Lysine from now until the wedding should help to prevent an occurence from blighting your wedding photos. you can get it from Holland and Barrett. If it's not coldsores, then I can recommend Gilette Mach 3 turbo razor for the OH applied daily :D :D

I remember when me and hubbie first got together, all of my other boyfriends were the same age as me (or not much older) and none had quite reached the point where a daily shave was exactly needed, so the day after me and hubbie... had erm... enjoyed a nice day together ( :P ) I had a perfect circle of chapped skin right in the middle of my chin!!! :D :D :D

A couple of applications of any oily cream (I personally find the 'simple' range very good, although it is each to their own!) will do the job! Make sure you cleanse well at night, and exfoliate about 2-3 a week though, else you will have a group of lovely black heads because of all the oil ;) :D

P.S. Me and Mum had or tattoos done on Saturday :D It went well, and Mum didn't faint, thank goodness!!! :P

hi,
so what did you both have done?
melanie :)

Mum ended up with a butterfly on her shoulder, after only taking 2 and a half hours looking at every single butterfly and humming bird design they had! And I had a 'T' for Thomas our son, on my ankle. :D Now it has started 'the bug' again, and after 8 years of keeping it at bay, it has come through to the surface!!! :D

I know the feeling - OH has just had a huge dragon done (finished last night) running from his shoulder down to past his elbow.  Just looking at it makes me want another one !  When my grandaughter Daisy was born I had a two daisies tattoo done.  Grandson now here 18 months, but can't think of much for him - his name is James.  The only thing I can come up with is perhaps the Kanji symbol for the letter J.  Anyone else got any suggestions please?

You can get really nice scripted 'J's' I found it hard to find the right 'T' for me, because most 'T's' look like 'J's', why not have a look on Microsoft Word, and just go through all of the different font's and see if you can get an idea from there?

If not James is the red engine!!! :D :D
