My 12 year olds back leg gave way yesterday and he has trouble moving about, he stands and waivers then his leg goes from under him.  Took him to the vet this norning and she can't find a reason why, she has perscibed Metacam and antibiotics if hes no better by Friday he has to go back.  Any suggestions??

Perhaps he's just taken a knock that you don't know about?  It could be a number of things and I'm sure your vet will bear them in mind if the meds don't show an improvement.  Try not to worry too much, easier said than done I know when they're in their Golden years.

Oh I am sorry to hear about your boy, let's hope as Teri says it is just a knock he has taken, and he isn't in too much pain with it.
