If you read this thread from last week, it will make sense!
According to the Kennel Club, both the Saarloos Wolfdog and the Czechoslovakian Wolfdog are listed on the Dangerous Wild Animals Act but they did not explain as to why they're a listed animal in the UK but within Europe their recognised as showing breeds.
They have told me to contact DEFRA about keeping one of these breeds as they're not entirely sure whether I would actually need a license (but they're listed on the Dangerous Wild Animals Act - strange or what?!).
Failing this I have to get in contact with the Wolf Trust who I'm already a member of (I sponser a really cute 2 year old timber wolf!). Perhaps they're the people I should have got in conact with in the first place.
Either way, I will keep you updated on what both DEFRA and the Wolf Trust say on the issue!
