my 7 month rottweiller bitch, is great, very good tempered and loving.Only problem is whenever we have visitors whether she knows them or not she will wee on the floor in excitement. We have tried all sorts of things, telling people not to fuss the dog first off and to ignore her untill she is calm.We have told people to go outside to greet the dog in a calm fashion.
She is well socialised and has been from a pup.Im hoping that she might grow out of it.
It would be great if anyone has any advice.

Trust me , the only solution to this is that she will grow out. When you have company over that u are expecting comfort her while they are in.

I had a bitch that never grew out of it everytime she saw my son. The only way he could visit was to meet her outside. We tried ignoring her, holding her, telling her off (definately didn't work!) and it just made her worse. She would greet anyone else and was ok, but if she saw my son she peed. All over his foot  It just became normal for him to go straight into the back garden before I let her out to say hello. I found that comforting her just taught her that it was ok to pee. ;)

My 'pup' is now 14 months and didn't grow out of it until he was 10 or 11 months. Sometimes he will still do it if very excited but very rarely. Just ignore it, make no fuss and she will eventually stop. :)
