Is it ok for my 4 month puppy to have pasta and rice as part of his daily barf diet, he also gets varied from day to day, meats like, rabbit, turkey, chicken, beef, fish etc, vitamins and minerals in terms of fruit and green veg. along with meaty bones. is it ok to add pasta every day or not?

thanks! :D

It is ok in that it probably wouldnt do him any harm (unless he is intolerant of cereals)..

But, it is entirely unecessary and with a small puppy youwould be filling his stomach with food taht wont really give him any benefits, where it could be filled wtih food that will.

Im sure some will disagree, but dogs dont need cereals, or carbs, so its not really worth bothering.

I give pasta or rice to mine occasionally but definitely not daily.  There are some people who are more qualified than me to advise you on this.

If you are feeding pasta and rice then you are not feeding a true BARF diet are you?

Personally I do not feed any grain as I feel it does not add anything to the diet that cannot be derived from a more species appropriate ingredient.
