I have given all the girls a good bath outside this afternoon and was giving Min a good shampoo as her back end needs a good wash now and again as she has a squitty bum and as she is quite hairy and she gets clingons :)

I was rubbing her under carriage and felt some large mammary tumors. They seem to have grown since the last time I gave her a good bath about three months ago.

She is in no pain and is eating, drinking and is still taking an interest in life so I am not going to take her to the vet.

Just want some reassurance I am right I suppose :)

Min's your oldie, isn't she? The one who's getting a bit frail? You know her best - the only treatment would be major invasive surgery. If you feel she's not up to that, and is happy and enjoying a painfree life, then follow your instincts. {{{{{hug}}}}}

Yes. She is nearly 15 so really any surgery is not an option. If I went to the vet Stuart he would say leave alone and wouldn't suggest PTS unless I said as he knows me all to well. :)

She really only has a few weeks now as she has no control over her bowels now but so long as we can cope and she is coping and still has her dignity then she will be with us :)

Oh Lucy, I am so sorry to hear about your old girl :(

I hope you can enjoy the next few weeks, and she carries on being pain free.

I will be thinking of you

I'm certain you're right to leave her be to have her last weeks in peace. Bless you, Lucy.

Once our old lady was 10 years old, we decided 'pain free and comfortable' rather than have her pulled about! :)

Oh Lucy - I'm so sorry to read this :(   I'm with you all the way though, about not taking her to the vet - whilst Min is still enjoying life, let her be.   You'll know when she has had enough.

Cherish these last few weeks - I know you will - and take loads of photos!

You know we're all thinking of you all.
