Topic Dog Boards / General / Bull Terrier Ears?
- By Lily Mc [gb] Date 28.07.05 09:42 UTC
OK, silly question that husband has just phoned to ask on behalf of someone at work! :D

At what age should a Bull Terrier's ears be erect?  Friend's pup is 15 weeks, which sounded a bit late for me not to be showing signs, but I'm only basing it on GSDs which are probably entirely different.

Should he be worried?  Do people sometimes tape them in this breed if they're lazy?

Any info gratefully received .....

my pup ebt had ears up at 5 weeks old and they are still up now, don't know if teething would effect the ears, as i know in gsds the ears are all over the place when they teeth, sorry not to be much help though.

That's helpful, thanks.  I know GSDs at 8-10 weeks are usually up, if not necessarily pointing in right directions!  As you say, teething can send it all haywire, but the impression I got is that these haven't even made an attempt ....... in which case, I'd be surprised if they did.
