After a show you can't ask a judge there critics can you, in a nice way of cause? do you just have to read them after in a dog paper?

That depends on the judge. I often get asked and am quite happy to speak with owners. As I have found that even though I fax, email and post in a critique it is not always published in the papers. So I let any exhibitor who wants a copy of what I have sent to the paper contact me and I post or email them a copy.

Yes, certainly you can ask the judge his/her opinion after all the judging's finished. You have to be careful you don't sound as if you're challenging them though!
:)
Thanks Polly and Jeangenie, I just thought it would be interesting to know what they thought of your dog, because in my eyes my dog is perfect, so it would be nice to see what needs improving if i ever wonted to take it all to a new level. Do you have to wait until the end of the day to ask? or can you ask in between classes or is that rude?
Warm regards Susan

Definitely wait until all the judging has finished. Otherwise the other classes will be held up for ages.
Just a tip though I once asked a judge why she didnt like my dog as she went from winning everything to losing quite significently so I wanted to know why and she came out with a load of nonsense then later told one of her friends that she didnt like her markings. Some people just dont want to tell you the truth. :)
I know but if i was judge myself i dont think i'd tell the truth, because your dog is your pride and joy although you still wont to know. It's like when you ask a friend if your bum looks big in your new outfit they'll always say no and let you walk out and your bum looks huge, he he.
Warm regard Susan
