Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Online entries

I spoke to a few people who have had problems with their entries online. One lady had received the e mail for the entries but not for the payment ! I always check the records part of Higham & Fosse Data everytime as it shows that the entry has been completed & I always check that I get the payment confirmation as well

Just a heads up for people entering online especially when you like the show or judge

Is the payment confirmation the receipt from paypal ?

I entered on line once, turned up at the show and was told I was not entered (I had received confirmation but not printed it off) - after a lot of calling about etc they realised I was entered 'phew'!  If I enter on line again I will call the club to ensure all is ok.

With Higham Press the receipt is from World Pay & with Fosse Data the entry email has the payment conformation on it

I have a folder that all the show & payment e mails go into as well as keeping the conformation page from the net

That is what I do also moonmaiden. I keep a folder.  Any show I attend where passes are not give I take the print out. generally scribbled on with Hotel phone number directions etc but always take it.

slightly off topic but do any of you have an MSN/hotmail account ? I have just set mine up but cant work out how to set up folders so everything is still in the inbox :(
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 26.07.05 11:44 UTC
ClaireyS, on Hotmail, you'll see the 'Folders' list at the left-hand side (Inbox, Junk Mail etc). At the bottom of that there's 'Manage Folders'. Click on that, then on 'New Folder'. Then you can type in the folder name ('Show entries' or something). Then from your inbox you can tick the relevant email and click on 'Add to Folder (or words to that effect!) and then click on the chosen Folder name.

Did that sound like I know what I'm talking about? :D

I do most of mine on line with no problem and have so for a few years. Once you have done your booking , if you try to redo the entry it even tells you that you have already done it.

Best to print them off. I am a bit confused how people don't know until they got to the show that their entry hadn't went through because most shows have passes and surely you would know if your passes never turned up that there had been a problem?

This was an open show where I had the problem ;)

Hi Blue,

>if you try to redo the entry it even tells you that you have already done it

Very true but that part can be annoying if you decide before entries close to add another dog :P   I'd entered one for a show thinking another would be out of coat but decided that I'd enter her anyway - and it wouldn't let me    I ended up phoning them (can't remember if it was Fosse or Higham now) and had to reregister with them under different details to enter the other dog!  To be fair they said they were looking into that problem and although entered separately both passes came in same envelope and were under one heading in the catalogue.

Teri  :)

Hi Teri,

Hope you are keeping out of trouble. :-D

I have done the same many a time and have 2 usernames also..

I do like doing my entries on line though. :-)

MOI?????  :D

I was lurking for a while then ............ just when "I thought it was safe to go back in the water" :P  (thoroughly towelling down tootsies as I type ;) )

I like the on-line system too - and now I've got multiple ways of entering!  Roll on the day when all shows offer the facility.  Teri :)
