I have a bitch and in six weeks will be having a dog puppy, we do not want puppies so which one should we have spayed/castrated? If anyone has any suggestions i would be very grateful. Also at what age should spaying or castration be done?

What about a vasectomy. Or better still two dogs of the same sex. IMO spaying & castration should not be done untill the dogs is fully adult and even then only if no other course is open to the owner. Please remember that the hormones produced by the sex organs are needed by the body for normal growth and are not just there for reproduction. JH

Have your bitch spayed. That way you will definately have no puppies!
