Thought that title would get your attention but really just wanted to ask as I have just watched Titanic and it made me think - nice thoughts really.
When you die would you like to think you are meet by people who have gone before - wouldn't that be nice. People as you recall them best.
This post does not require a list of people or an answer just a wanted to share a thought with you.
As I am not sure I believe in life after death or an afterlife but the thought was nice comforting really.

Only if I get the chance to stop off at the Rainbow Bridge first for my dogs :D
Seriously though, I would like to think we do meet back up with our nearest and dearest, human and canine :)

Hi,
Did you know that they say!! it wasn't the Titanic the sank!
It was it's sister ship! The ship makers that built the two ships said there
was a diffrence in the making. But, because the ship makers got into financial difficulties, they
said it was the Titanic for Ins. purposes. With todays knowledge, and checking the wreck,
They seem to be pretty sure it wasn't the Titanic!!!

>it wasn't the Titanic the sank
Interesting theory, Denese but I think there's little real evidence to suggest that it WASN'T the Titanic that sank. Now, I like a good conspiracy theory as much as the next person but your argument seems a little confused to me...
>ship makers got into financial difficulties, they said it was the Titanic for Ins. purposes
Harland and Wolff built the ship and are therefore the ship 'makers'. However, White Star line owned the ship and would therefore be the ones to make any insurance claim. I am fairly sure that White Star Line did not own any sister ship of the Titanic so could not 'switch their identities' as it were for Insurance purposes. I also am led to believe that artifacts have been recovered from the wreck which prove it is indeed Titanic that sunk.

Hi Shaynlola,
It's actually a well known conspiracy theory that the Titanic was swapped for the Olympic (both owned by the White Star Line, along with their sister, the Britannic). I read a very convincing book about it that I got from the library, but I can't remember either the name or the author :o However, it made a very good case and had supporting photographic evidence in it too. :)

I really do believe in life after death, but perhaps through rose-coloured glasses (couple of mixed metaphors there for you!) I believe that only the "nice" people in your life are there to greet you - the "nasty" ones never appear. And, of course, every dog you've ever owned and loved will come bounding up to you :D :)

Oh yes only the people who cared about you and you cared about. And of course your animals that will be interesting because my old Staff bitch Gypsy was not keen on other dogs other than her lifelong playmate Sam (also a Staff) but the next Stafford in my life Gyp hated other bitches - should be interesting maybe they will be more chilled.
Karen
Do you know I was just thinking how Kim would behave if she met all the other dogs she hated everybody and everything apart from me so it makes a frightening picture. I just hope that if there is reincarnation I dont come back as me. ;)

I have convinced myself that there is life after death...........you have to have something to keep you going.
Not going to go into why I believe there is L.A.D but would hate to think that I've gone through all this for there to be nothing at the end!
As a Christian I definitely believe in life after death - but, sadly, not everyone will experience it. (Gospel of John ch. 3 v.16)
I was having a laugh by the way, before anyone starts! :D
I believe, when your dead your dead. Full stop.

Has anyone ever been regressed??

No...but i love watching that show on ITV, with celebs getting regressed. Very interesting!

yes me too, im considering getting regressed but not sure where i can get it done?

Oooooo i have no idea. It would be very interesting to have it done though, then check out all the details and see if anything is true!! :-)

Me too

I believe in LAD. My mum & dad are regular spiritualist goers (if thats a word??). Every Tuesday they go to a group medium and get some interesting things. The most encouraging one for me was when they told my mum that she had lots of animals around her. All the animals she had ever owned were sat around her apparently. The next day my kitten was put to sleep as they found she had cancer. I sincerely believe them animals had come back for that kitten as there was no one else to look after her "up there". I think our family as a whole have had a lot of messages from the "other side" to help us confirm our beliefs but also you have to be wary of the crap mediums!!
Yes I believe and as long as all my loved ones - including pets are there to meet me I am not scared of it either :)
Goodness me, I hope not everyone I ever cared about comes back, especially my first crush - how embaressing!!!! ;) LOL

MMM yes he was VERY yummy, but it wasn't meant to be!! :D :D :D I am blushing just thinking about him!!! ;) :D
lol did anyone watch most haunted last night? Some good stuff! Them footprints were interesting and that weird noise that was getting louder and closer!! If i were there i think i would of **** myself!

Didn't watch it but we used to. It makes me laugh because my OH believes in it totally, but thinks that Colin Fry in sixth sense is a load of crap! How can that be?! You either believe or you dont!!
We were watching it one evening when Dave asked me if I believed in it, and I said 'something would have to happen actually to ME to make me believe it' and two seconds later a birthday card literally jumped off the mantlepiece - spooky!!
ooohhhh! Same here though, if a ghost came up to me and said "hello im a ghost" and disappeared, then i would totally believe! lol or maybe something simular that could not be explained!!
The only program I ever watched that scared me, was this documentry thing that was on a few years ago (thinking about it, it was probably getting on for 10 years or more

) It was all set up in this house, and was supposed to be real, as in no effects, Sarah Greene and someone else was presenting it, they had cameras all over this house, and the ghost was called 'Pipes'. I couldn't watch it all, I had to record the end of it, and me and my sister slept with the lights on. Then the next day we watched the end of it, in the light, and one of the papers came clean and said it was all a set up and it wasn't real!!

it really had us going, but since then everything has seemed a bit predictable and certainly not scary! :D
Does anyone else remember it?

I remember a documentary where a TV crew went round this house that was supposed to be haunted, and someone ended up getting locked in a cupboard, and then they supposidly saw a ghost in the bedroom - you saw a quick shadow and when the camera went back it had 'gone'. Load of crap, but I heard that some frightened bloke watching it had killed himself cos he was so scared - can't believe that though!
That was it Keeley!! ;) It shook me up, but as I say we thought it was all for real until the next day!
I didn't hear of anyone killing themselves though! Poor sod :(
Stupid sod more like! You would have to be a bit unstable lets say to "kill yourself" over a tv documentary! lol
Probably just a rumour :)
Well if it was true, unstable is the word!
Definately, a few years ago i used to go ghost hunting with my mates lol we would all get in our cars and go to various local haunted places, one of which was an abandoned church that supposedly used to be used for devil worship, that was real scary, never saw anything, used to hear weird noises but that could have been anything, we stopped doing it though as one of us pointed out, "what would you actually do if you did see something?" so we stopped it then.
LOL we used to do the same, there was a church about 8 miles away from the town, but it was monks or something in this one (I can't remember exactly now!) there was about 10 of us and we all told our parents we were staying around one of the others houses, and we walked to this church, started doing the oudji (sp?) board, got VERY scared and got a taxi back home!!!
LOL Sneaky!! We used to do ouija board too (think thats how its spelt anyway) We all used to crap our pants over that aswell :D
By keeley
Date 27.07.05 13:39 UTC
You're so brave! I'd never ever do a ouija board - far too frightening for my liking. Haven't any of you seen the film 'Long Time Dead?!'
LOL not before we did it Keeley, I am talking about 12 years ago when we were doing it at school!
It isn't scary doing it in a class room, you know someone is always going to pushing it - although I admit I never did once, I always HOPED no one else was pushing either!!
By keeley
Date 27.07.05 13:48 UTC
Oh yeah, I forgot you were talking about your 'school days' :) Silly me! Should read through peoples replies properly **slaps herself on the hand**
LOL doesn't seem that long ago now!
Yeah your ouija looks more like it than mine! :D
We went through a big craze at school using it, bit silly really, but then aren't most school girls? :D
Other than that though, we were pretty good - most of the time :D :D :D
Yeah right! :D :D
We used to make it up on some A5 paper and use a coin up the back of the school field! lol
We had them everywhere, back of school books, any paper we could find, I once made a proper one for my art project!! :D We always used to use a lid off of a deodrant, or hairspray bottle!
"is there anybody there....." LOL

LOL! We did do it once when I was in a children's room of my mum and dad's local club. We turned the lights off and put an upside down glass on the table (little drops of coke spilling all over the place  ), and we went to 'rattle' the glass on the table and smashed it to smitherines (sp?!). That certainly shook us all up! I must have only been about 7!
lol my aunt done it once in my nans big old house (was really scary) years ago with a couple of her friends and they asked this spirit they were talking to where it was and it replied saying by the window and when they looked one side of the window in the living room was all steamed up! Arrrrggghhhh!!! :D
We never really had any spooky stories because as I said someone was always pushing the damn thing!
Although one of my friends woke up after doing it with her sister the night before, with something scrawled on the wall in eye liner, can't remember exactly what it said - or what she said it said!!!

Freaky!! Although the idea of 'spirits' does give me hope about LAD, I have to say I'm happy to get comfort from other people's experiences - not so keen on having my own! Although with the recent mysterious 'locking of bedroom doors' from the inside at our house, I'm pretty certain something funny is going on there. Nothing to report of late though I'm pleased to say. (Hope I'm not tempting fate! or rather 'tempting the spirits'!)
Ive got LOADS of spooky stories i could tell, weve always had weird stuff going on in our houses! Il tell you one that freaked me out, my mum only told me a few years back as she knew it would of frightened me at the time, this was in one of our old houses, we went on holiday for a week and my aunt used to come round every day to see to our cat, she was the only one in the house at the time and had wiped over our floor with the mop in the kitchen, she went upstairs to the loo and when she came back down their were tiny child like footprints all over the floor!!! dont think it frightened her too much cause shes into all that stuff anyway and she did always say that, that house inparticular was haunted!

OMG!! I'd have seriously freaked out - especially with it being children's footprints - so sad and yet so scary!!
