We have a 12 month old Sibe and are wondering about his coat he seems to throw his coat all year round but not all over just on his hip and bum area could it just be him still getting rid of his puppy fluff in this area (the rest of his coat is nice and smooth and soft) and is still getting his full coat through or do you think it will always be like this?
Its coming out in clumps but he is certianly not bald in any way, you can see where all the loose hair is too! No amount of grooming is bringing it out

Cyrus, bath him ;) Bathing helps get rid of the loose fur :)

Also this has been an awful year for moulting as the weather espedcially in the4 earlier part of the year was warm, cold warm cold,a dn the dogs have been stop starting moulting all over the place non stop.

I norammly say the entire girls moult for 3 weeks twicde a year, and the spayed girls seem to be worse ad tyey do moult a few weeks,b tu then seem to stop and shed a bit at a time later also, never getting all the dead hair out at once.

sounds normal to me :) I find dogs that moult like this are easiest to groom with an undercoat rake - I've just bought a Mikki one, it has two rows of rotating teeth and both rows are spring mounted, so they go with the dog's body contours.  It does a great job keeping my rott X GSD nicely groomed (she moults quite a lot), and I've had great success with it on my boss's very hairy GSDs and my cat!!
