I have just got a puppy which when he came to me was on panacur. I have since been investigating wormers and being that he is a dalmation have decided not to go on to Drontal as there seem to be a lot of bad reactions to it wil Dallies.
My trainer has recommended a new wormer called Milbermax which is getting reallygood reviews. I have spoken to my vet about it but they do not deal with milbermax and want me to put him onto drontal.
Can anyone suggest how else I might be able to get Milbermax other than from my vet?

I use Drontal with my 4 dalmatians, and haven't had any problems.
:)
Ive just been to the vets and bought milbemax for £3.83 each, very expensive I thought.
I'm going to have a go with Drontal next time. I have to worm often as my two are such disgusting scavangers!!
The big differnce with milbemax and drontal is the amount of tablets needed. Its one tablet per 10kg's for drontal and one tablet per (i can't remember the exact amount) say 25kg's or there abouts. So if you have a larger dog it can be more expensive buying drontal. Both are good multi wormers. Drontal seems to be more palatable to dogs, mine will eat drontal as if theiy are treats, not so with milbemax. There have been problems with milbemax and collie types, but generally it is fine for other breeds.
If your vets don't have it you could probably get it from an online veterinary pharmacy, but do make sire that you get the dosage right.
Aahhh, Good point. Never thought about it like that!
