I have recently lost my companion for the last 14years. I am seeking a new companion and fell in love with huskies 2 years ago on a visit to Lapland. I will consider puppy or unwanted siberian husky that will fit into a family environment and will be given a loving home. Please advise of any dogs available

Thanks

Please give the Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain welfare a call.  If you go to the SHCGB website you will see in the top right corner that we have several dogs looking for good homes.  I believe that if you click on the bulletin board of that site you will be able to view the welfare posts about some of the dogs that are currently looking for loving homes.

Don`t be put off by the team asking lots of questions as unfortunately many people take on a husky without doing their homework on the breed first. They are just ensuring that prospective owners are aware of the characteristics of the breed they are taking on.  Once the team are happy they will arrange for a home visit and a club member will visit you in your home, most likely bring one of their own little "darlings" along for you to meet, and check things like how "husky proof" your garden is.

We have a husky from welfare in our pack and not only are you providing that dog with a loving environment but its amazing to see how a dog can suddenly start "smiling" again once it knows its there to stay.

HTH
