Can anyone tell me if there is a good shampoo they could recommend on an harsh coated breed?

I have bathed my dog yesterday and unfortunately his coat has gone soft, I have repeatedly rinsed him in fresh clean water but its not helped, and I have a CH show in the morning and was hoping there maybe somehting I could do to help it get back to some resemblance of what it should be.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

I always found Vetzyme JDS insecticidal (smels like vosene) never made the dogs coats soft.

I never bath mine less than 3 or 4 days before a show.   Probably too late to do anything permissible now :(

SHAWS shampoo for wire-coated dogs, won't soften the coat.  Don't condition afterwards tho or it'll still go soft ;)

or as an emergency you could try washing-up liquid, but don't condition :D :D

I have a harsh coated breed and find that the first day after washing they can feel a bit softer but after than it firms back up.
