Can anyone tell me where the best place is to get these. I have heard of the walky belt being used in puppy training and would like to try it. Did a search on the internet, but the Chillidog site which was listed didn't seem operational.

How effective are the reflective sheets at keeping heat down in the car?

the walky belts are  lifesavers especially when you have Siberian Huskies attached no more arm pulling :-D

I got one of my reflective sheets from www.overhill.co.uk and one from www.ventlock.co.uk  they are excellent at keeping the heat off the car but I only leave mine in the car when I am around to keep and eye on him and the tail gate is open :)

I get my reflective sheets from Countrymun.
I like them and they come in a couple of different sizes.
I have got the larger sizes and have 3 sheets for my car and am due to get
a 4th.
They do keep down the heat but the car can still get warm.
I also leave the rear door open as I have a car cage and the dogs are safe and can't get out.
One of my sheets are used to cover the raised rear door etc. (That's why I want a fourth to creat a tent
over the rear door)
If you've travelled during the early hours and sheet the car over as soon as you arrive
they aren't too bad. But if the car is already warm it will stay warm,
I use them as part of a keep cooler regime.

I also use them in Winter underneath the dogs vet bed to keep the dogs warmer as
we are travelling or kept in the car at dogs shows.

Question:so are the walky belts designed for huskies because they pull so much? I have shepherds, which until they reach the age of about three always seem to want to pull, despite the heel training which works in class, but get the two out on a walk and it's a competition!!

The reflective sheets I'm interested in for perhaps when we're at an event, and the tailgate is up (yes have barjo tailgate guard) and I am there. My husbands car is air conditioned which is great, but it is not so dog friendly which is a real shame, because it's fantastic (although not once you're parked!)

I seem to spend most of my time now trying to keep the dogs cool. Whatever happened to nice British summer temperatures of 72 - 75 degrees??????

We have a similar system, originally designed for use by people who jog with their dogs. We sell quite a few to people who have dogs that pull or lunge, especially those with back problems and also to mums who need both hands free to grab a toddler! It is called releash and has a lead with it that has a built in bungee, it also has a quick relaese system incase of emergencies.
