Alfie has only just turned 9 months old so was up against the big boys at Paignton - and he won :D :D
I am so pleased we havent really had a decent champ show placing since Bath and he was so awful last week at Wales I nearly dropped him off at Battersea on the way home ;) We didnt do anything in the challenge though, he lost out on movement and to be honest he did move like a sack of spuds in the challenge, in fact his co-ownder said it looked like he had messed his pants
And today at a club open show the little fella got a 2nd in puppy :)
The only thing that really shadowed our day at paignton was the minor puppy bitch collapsed in the challenge, we heard a scream and the judge came running out of the ring trying to half carry half drag this bitch, thankfully someone took over and put her in one of the big troughs of water, she was taken to the vet to be put on a drip. I believe she had been standing out in the sun waiting for BOB to be judged which took quite a long time. I heard today that she is ok but they are doing tests as it could be some sort of Iron definiciency :( Thank god for the judge, she acted so quickly and was so upset about what had happened. It certainly made us realise how quickly a dog can deteriotate and its made everyone even more vigilant.
