Am trying to figure out how to get two lines of text into one cell, have fiddles about with it but it won't let me, can I do this???

Not quite sure what you want

Do you want to have two line of test like this

Harry Bloggs
Joe Bloggs

in one cell ?

If so

Try this
Click on tools
go to options
click on the data tab & untick the "move the insertion point down to the next cell by pressing enter!option
click ok
then go to format alignment click on alignmant tab & tick the wrap text within a cell & then ok

Then type in first lin hit enter & then type second line just worked for me
