i have had my dog neuter will he still want to mate has i am worried because he keep trying with my bitch but not got there yet. It as been over 2 weeks since he has been done  as she came into season the day we had him neuted thank you.

You should still be keeping them apart as he may still have viable sperm

It will be many months before he can be considered sterile, and as she is at her most fertile period it's perfectly possible for them to not only mate and tie (many castrated dogs are still 'able') but also to produce a litter! So keep them apart as if he hadn't had the operation. By her next season he should be 'safe'.

You need to keep them apart as I think there is still viable sperm for at least 6 months afterwards. The risk is smaller but it can still result in pups.

I have heard of neutered dogs mating and have tied!!!
No puppies though!!!!!

Neutered dogs can still mate a bitch but if sterile no puppies.  I have a friend who has a neut dog and entire bitch and they were at it hammer and tongs..... for 3 days.....although had I known I would have told them to seperate the dog and bitch.
