Hello Guest........if she is definitely only on her 3rd day i doubt very much if they would have mated or that your girl would have let him get near enough, she would posibly be flirty with him but if he tried to mount her she would probably have gone for him.Another indication of her not being ready is that the dog ran when you came out,if she was ready it would usually take a water cannon to get rid of him!!..........
As for "ruining her" by being mated by a different breed that is just an old wives tale.......each mating only produces puppies from that union, NOT any traits from previousmatings, neither does it stop you registering the next litter of purebred puppies.
Of course you should be making sure that a misalience never happens!
now you will have to make sure she is never left alone in your garden unless you raise your fences very quickly, be prepared to find the Lab in your garden camped out for the next 3 weeks!....it might be an idea to visit the Lab's owner and let them know as they are probably wondering where he is going to and probably why he is not eating either, they might even be kind enough to supervise their dog in their garden too for a while.
why dont you join the forum its easy and FREE then should you eventually mate your girl you can ask as many questions as you like, and get help from all the breeders on the boards
good luck
