Hi all,

My mom asked me to ask anyone if they knew about weed killers etc? Im guessing they probaly harm dogs so does anyone know anything that can get rid of weeds without chemicals? i would say just pull them up but she wants them gone for longer if that makes sence.

Thanks

Hi
i use weedol sachets. you mix them with water and spray on the weeds. you only need to keep dogs etc off the treated area until the weeds are dry again. 2 or 3 days later u can see them dying.not sure if there would be a problem with a dog eating a treated weed, but if u watch the dog for a cpl of days  til the weeds r brown n dead you'd should be ok. i've not had a problem using it in the last 6/7 years.
hope that helps :-)

Personally I don't use any weedkillers at all, I don't care how safe they are supposed to be.  I either pull them or burn them (gas gun) keeping the earth turned over by hoeing also helps :) :)

Or mulch them.

I use the good old fashioned method of pulling them up and then burning them. I wouldn't feel safe using weed killer however much it said it was safe on the bottle............
