Bitches only shed twice a year and males usually once only, if girls shed 4 times a year you'd never see one in the ring - the coat takes 3 months to grow back!

Stand by what I say, though it is a larger moult for winter and summer after each season my bitch produces more loose hair than she normally does. :) Maybe its because I dont show but I've never thought that she looked bald or noticed it taking that long to grow back. Does that mean then that newfie owners dont show for six months of the year?
