
If this is a working dog, if you understand the needs of a working lurcher, look in countrymans weekly, look in lurcher rescues etc, pm Sam.
If you want an 'Alfred the Lurcher off Heartbeat' then dont get a beddy x whippet.
They look cute, they can BE cute, but they can be DAMN difficult dogs -- sadly somehow, somewhere, lurchers have become this mythical easy dog. They are not. A true lurcher is bred for work (and call me picky but if neither parent is not able to work then the resultant offspring is not a lurcher, its a crossbreed).. and as such they in their variuos guises will contain working blood, be it herding or terrier as well as the sighthound influence.
Ill always have a lurcher now, but had my beddy x been my first dog, well he would be in rescue and id have probably commited suicide by now!!!!
