im off camping on Wednesday and have just realised ive got 4 mini swede and a big bag of carrots in the cupboard, oh and a pack of courgettes which were bought last week.  They arent something I would take camping is there anyway I can freeze them ? would I have to cook them first or could I just chuck them in the freezer ?

I would appreciate any ideas, im not really what one would call domesticated :D :D

If you are taking the hounds with you then take the carrots as snacks for them :)

Then if you are taking a camping stove with you take the corgettes, cheese and some eggs and make a frittata for brekkie one morning :)

The swede, perhaps take it along with some plastic coke bottles or empty wine bottles and play bowling :D :D

good idea about the courgettes, unfortunatley though the boys wont eat carrots - they are dead fussy

There will be plenty of empty wine bottles so the swede will come in handy :D :D

If you're gonna use them for stews and such, I would prepare them and then freeze them for later use.  I freeze almost all veg and I never have a problem with it.  However, my dogs are on ND, so the veggies are for OH and me :D
