I read a sickening story today in are local paper about an english pit bull beheaded by a canal with tufts of it's hair left on the canal side so no-one would reckonise the dog, because apparently dog fightening is becoming popular in Liverpool. There seems to be alot of people being cruel to animals these days and it's disgusting only a couple of mouths ago i read about a dog being found in a lake drowned with it's legs tyed together, what is happening in this world it seems to be getting worse. Also did anyone watch miami cops on sky, someone had left there dog in the car with the windows shut at hundred centagrade for three days the dog was dead in the foot well, what a disgrace the human race is!!! I've never felt so angry in all my life.
Warm regards Susan
The older I get the more I dispise humans! I can see myself completely omitting myself from society and surrounding myself with animals somewhere remote! Humans disgust me!

Nothing changes to be honest over 30 years ago a GSD was found barely alive in water with a couple of breeze blocks tied to its rope so that the dog should have had its head under water, instead the rope stretched enough to allow the dogs nose above water level & he was rescued & ended up as a parks patrol dog in Manchester, the same year another GSD was found that had had hot fat poured all over it & it was badly burned, she too recovered & got a lovely home, her fur never grew back quite right & she was never a pretty dog, but what a character
Difference is now things get reported in more details & put on the net
I know and it's such a shame and dogs still love with all that stuff they've been through, i dont know if it's a good thing people putting it in the papers though as these sickos are getting reckonision for there cruelty, a few months ago two cats were also hanged from shutters one was alive when this happened and one was dead. But animal cruelty seems to be increasing it makes me sick but powerless the people who do this should be found and be treated in the same way and i'm sure it would scare the sickos away. I know i'm harsh on them but to do this to a defenceless animal is a very sad sicko.
Warm regards Susan
I'm not at all fond of China but last year my family went out there for a couple of weeks. Deating dogs and cats is strictly forbidden in the majority of China now. Anyone found partaking in these habits will be prosecuted (maybe even executed if it's the emperor's animals or it's desendents). Dogs and cats are not offered as food to tourists as it's seen as a sacred animal although this is only in the far north. Anywhere else, as I said, it is highly unlikely to see dogs or cats being eaten.
Which is a good thing...but they've only got past cats and dogs. They've still got a very long way to go :(

Hi Keira,
Did you ever see what they did to cats? They had a large pot
of boiling water, then got a live cats! dipped them in pulled it out,
and while still alive! they just peel the skin off. Before
they cooked it. I don't think they know what cruel is!!!
I wonder if they would like that done to them. I couldn't
watch anymore so I don't know what they do next egh!!!
But! I supose while people buy it they will do it!!
I know they sell Chow Chow's in the market's in cages to restaurants.

It's pretty sick but as I said the majority of China is cutting down on it alot. I can't belive some of the things they do to animals and I for one despise the country. I'm not a racist at all, but what they do to the animals makes me want to sneak a few guns into the country. By the way, at no point in that sentence did I mention hurting a person nor animal so please don't have a go at me Admin!

I don't think you can say you despise a whole country and then say you are not racist. Have you ever been to China, I haven't but I have visited friends in Hong Kong and visited the New Territories. There is no doubt they are not sentimental or squeamish about what animals can be eaten but then that arises from long years of eating whatever you can get. Animals are taken to market live and kept in small cages before being dispatched, generally by cleaver, before being popped into the housewifes bag. The reason for this is lack of fuel. Cooking is done quickly in China and food has to be very fresh to avoid the danger of bacteria not dying quickly enough. That sort of marketing would obviously be hard for the average Brit to handle but how much better are we with our factory farming, keeping chickens in tiny cages for the extent of their lives for eggs,in barns bred to grow full sizes in 6 weeks and unable to stand on their own legs for meat and pigs in tight farrowing pens? I expect that are some cruel people there who subject the animals to torture for reasons of pleasure but then we have a few home grown ones like that ourselves and true they eat animals we would not but then our habit of eating cows is something Hindus in our country have learned to accept.

Hi Susan,
I'm afraid people do things like this to babies and children.
So I doubt if animals stand a chance.
We are a country of all nations now! Not!! many countries love
animals as we do.

Denese
I know but it's still sick i can't even kill an ant let alone torture one. I dont mean to be rude but i know some countries dont think much about animals look at China they rape the sea and take anything in it's path butchering dolpins, even eat dogs and cats, also killing sharks just for their finns. Some people dont think much about animals but it's not right to torture them whether you think much about them or not and i'd never condone it, i've seen loads of things on the telly with the spanish festivals taking chickens heads off the way they treat bulls and then cry when their attacked. IT'S CRUEL THROUGH AND THROUGH.
Warm regards Susan.

Hi Susan,
I agree, What about the monkey's live!! they used to, and might still do!!!
Put there head's through a hole in a table, crack there sculls open and eat
there brains, while they screamed. They call it a Delicacy Egh!!!!
I can not bare to think about it. I beleve Apes ect; are next to man!
If they could talk. I know, many of those in captivity do sign language.
People more than ever are being brought up just to take and not to give
without recieving.
No! centiment, and a lot of the time no Love. We are also loosing our
Christian religion!! I wonder sometimes if this is were it is going wrong.
Be kind to others and all Gods creatures!!!

Unfortunately I would say that some 80% of people in the UK do not treat their pets as I would expect. Working in the pet trade (Not trading in pets!) I notice that the vast majority of the pets are abused in some way, wether over weight, matted, riddled with fleas, bad ears and so on (list is endless) People need to wake upto the fact that Britain is a nation of animal owners not animal lovers. Completely different. I'm glad I don't love my animals like some people claim to love theirs.

I agree myself it's a very sick world, and some morals need etching into people, especially this day and age, i'm one of those people if i see cruelty i have to intervene even at my own risk, and i'm not backwards in coming forward.

Can i ask, what HAS 'losing our Christian religion" got to do with anything??
Its certainly not MY religion, and i fail to see what it has to do with killing/torturing/eating dogs or cats??
As far as i am aware, more dog eating goes on in Korea, where although they claim it is 'traditional' it is in fact something that has occured more recently, purely due to lack of anything else TO eat!
