Hi
I am looking for a stud dog to breed my 7yr old hungarian vizsla with. She is already 4-5days into season so I am hoping to breed her in about a week-week and a half.
I can only travel to Darbyshire, Berwick or Yorkshire. I already have one confirmation of a stud dog but it is the same dog we tried to use last time but they did not mate therefore I need a stand up dog this time to secure the possibilty of breeding. If anyone has any information or a dog we can use please contact me on my e-mail address c_lucy84@hotmail.com
Thank you
Lucy

I assume that you have bred this bitch before and that she will still be under 8 years when she welps. Hope I'm not speaking out of line but 7 really is too late for a first litter and if she is over 8years the KC will not register the litter. I can't help with a stud at this late date you could ask her breeder to suggest someone who may be able to help or even the owner of the stud you tried last time. JH

Hi I know that one should reply to the post and not the poster, so please forgive me. If part of the reason that "guest" wants to breed a litter is to keep one as the bitch is now middle aged, can I suggest that she perhaps buys another puppy instead. It will cost far less to buy a nice puppy than to breed a litter, and as the bitch is too old for a first litter (if indeed this would be her first) IMO it may be the best option all round. Most breeders know (and have arranged) which dog they are going to use long before she comes in season.
