Weimaraners only come in one colour, grey.

They all have blue eyes at birth fading to a bluey grey or amber on maturity.

The cost of a puppy from reputable breeders who belong to the WA/WCGB and thereby abide by their codes of ethics will be between £550 - £650. 

However you can of course obtain puppies much cheaper from those who mate bitches prior to their 2nd birthday/after their 7th and produce litters at every season like a cash crop and do not bother to hip score their breeding stock and do not use studs/bitches that meet the KC standard.

However it costs just as much if not more to keep a poor specimen than a good one.

Your best bet is to contact the WA/WCGB for a list of reputable breeders and be prepared to go onto a waiting list.

Some Weimaraners I've seen are a very fawny-grey though, rather than a silver-grey. Perhaps that's what the OP means?

I disagree that all breeders who are members of the WA/WCGB follow the code of ethics.

I would suggest that if you have proof, rather than suspicion, that you report breaches to the appropriate club which will take the appropriate measures.

Otherwise, like everything else, it is just speculation, gossip and hearsay.................. there is a lot of it about...........and generally reveals more about the person triggering it than those who are the "target(s)"...............
