My whippet jumped my kitchen gate when I was out for 20 minutes.  I found her and my male both panting in the passage, so I presume they may have mated.

She would be about 5 weeks now, but I am not sure whether she is pregnant as there is not really any signs.  She is quite affectionate and her teats are slightly swollen, but not much.  She has been pregnant before but I have forgotten when they start to show, is it 6-7 weeks.  Can someone update me on this.

Thanks.

I suggest getting her to your vet to find out, you need to be prepared if she is!

She probably isn't i would imagine a whippet to show at about five weeks, it would be a good idea though to take her the vet and get her checked, if you dont wont pups you would be better getting her spayed if your male can jump over the gate.

It turned about to be a phantom pregnancy in the end.  She is fine now and I am waiting for her to come into season again so she can have another litter.  The first litter was stunning, so hope to have more of the same.   Thanks for the reply.
