The past two times I've applyed Frontline to my BT cross she's vomited her food 24hrs later. Last time I had to keep her on a rice diet for 3 days and it looks like I'm going to have to do the same again this time. She vomited last night and this morning both times about 20mins after eating. I've checked her poo for bits of plastic, rugs etc - nothing there and she seems fine otherwise. Any advice/info?

Then stop using Frontling on this bitch and report the case to the makers of Frontline so they can investigate. But you can continue to use it on any other dogs you own. JH

My dog also would be "under the weather" for three or four days after using Frontline drops and spray. He would sometimes be sick. When I reported it I was told it was co-incidence and it could not possibly have created such a reaction in a dog!

Kirsty, if you type Frontline into the 'search' facility at the top of the page, you will find lots of discussions on this subject :-)

Thanks Leigh - Time to try a different product on the poor wee thing and cook up lots of rice for the next few days. Also its nice to know I'm not imaging it and others have had the same problem.

My Doctor frontlines his kids to prevent head lice........honest.....now its caught on & all the other parents doing it too, as apparently the lice are immune to most human remedies!!!!

If you're serious Sam this could be the answer to my prayers. My poor little pickle only has to go to nursery for 10mins and she's full of them - we seem to be the only family in the area that bother to do anything about the little buggers.
Looks as if I'll be adding Frontline to my shopping list now!!

Iam not sure I would be doing this Fiona , I will never use frontline again . Berry got a round bald patch where the stuff went in . it is also sore.
I feel if the pup can react like this a child could as well I am also concerned as it is made clear on the instructions you must wash your hands if it gets on the skin.
I discussed with my vet and he said it soaks into the system and kills the eggs and could cause severe liver and lung damage or worse if it soaked into your skin
I am amazed this doc would consider this.
Flea remedies are spirit based and highly flammable so it is obvious what is in them
Each saturday morning our heads were treated with mythelated spirits and then washed out , once the hair was combed it was then fine combed [agony ] I wonder what brought back the head lice they were gone for years .
I wonder are the old remedies the best new remedy to use now , Mari

For head lice we have always used the tried and trusted (but slow) method of washing the childs hair with conditioner ..whilst conditioner is still on , take a nit comb and got through the hair several times , rinsing the comb after each pass.
Do this every alternate day for a week and then in the second week do it twice more
Always works for us

This is the method we use with the children too. I certainly wouldn't use animal drugs on kids.

My Mum did this with my Sister and I, but then everyone seemed to like little pretty girls with long flowing hair down to their backsides and a nice ribbon in:) These days people have girls with much shorter hair (or at least many do), my Nephew has the 'skinhead' look and he must just taste a treat as he's always going home with them

None of mine have had them yet-touch wood;)
This is quite a good thread actually as I'm planning on taking Kassie next Monday for the spray:)
