Hi I have a GSP 4 mths old and would like to show him he is a loveley looking dog, I am new to dogs and need some advice on how to, where to start or some contact details of people in West Yorkshire that might beable to help?

If you contact the Kennel Club they can give you details of Ringcraft training clubs where your dog and you will learn how to show.  Your pup can be shown from 6 months, and as entries for the big shows close about two months ahead now will be the time to start entering them.  shows are advertised in both the canine weeklies which you can subscribe to or order at your newsagents.  They are called Our Dogs and Dog World.  I suggest you ahve them both for a couple of weeks and decide which you prefer as they cover the same ground but vary in style and feature writers.

Hi Robert
I also own a lovely  gsp .  Have you thought of contacting your dog's breeder. Are they local to you and do they show their GSP's? If so, they should be a wealth of knowledge to you and should be more than willing to help.
Good luck and enjoy, you own a very special breed of dog!
