Just have to say that she's one of the most amazing people ever.  She must have a wonderful family to be so strong.  I  hope all goes well with her pregnancy.

I never usually comment on things that happen in the news etc. but this is the first time that I've ever been so touched by someone that I've never met.

Gosh is she pregnant ? I haven't heard any news today ?

All the very best to her and her family :)

She is a brave and courageous woman who deserves much happiness :)

I think she was pregnant when she was attacked, but didn't know it.  She's an amazing woman, and, I'm pleased to say, is a Queens Scout award winner :)

I sort of gathered that she must have been pregnant before the attack :)

Her OH is so obviously so much in love with her and is going to be there for her in everything she does :)

I was so pleased to hear she was improving so much, beyond what was originally expected :)
Very brave lady.

Me too Lindsay.  The picture of her in the paper with that huge smile on her face made my day.  She truly is blessed. :)

who is abigail witchall?
- By Natalie1212 Date 02.07.05 06:58 UTC
You will know of her, she was attacked in March(?) whilst walking with her 2 year old son. She has been in hospital since, paralysed, but she is starting to make much more progress than anyone expected.

Her and her family have been so wonderfully strong and positive right from the beginning you can't help feeling that this surprising recovery level is their reward from Him upstairs :)
The still has been no confirmation either way about the attacker has there?
- By Natalie1212 Date 02.07.05 08:48 UTC
I don't think so Isabel, well I have certainly not heard anything about him.

As far as I know they reckon her attacker was the chap who left the area shortly afterwards and committed suicide in Scotland somewhere (?), but poor Abigail didn't recognise his photo, so they can't be certain.

There was talk about waiting for DNA results though and then it all went quiet I suppose if it was that chap there is no pressing urgency but if it was someone else..........
I'm sure if I lived and walked in the area I'd be a lot happier knowing it was done and dusted.

Too right. It would be awful if that bloke was named as the attacker if there was an element of doubt simply because, with him being dead, it's an easy solution. That would leave the real attacker loose to do it again ...
