Thanks guys for all your tips and sorry I have not been on here more. Between caring for my little guy and the fact my net was not working it's been hard to get on here. The last time I talked he was getting weaker and I had to take him off mom cause no matter what I did he was just drowning in her milk. I made it threw that first night syringe feeding him as he still absolutly refusses a bottle. He at this point had lost a lot of weight and was very, very dehydrated. The next morning I took him to another vet who said over the night being away from mom had at least allowed his lungs to clear themselves of fluid. She was awesome and told me again she could also see nothing wrong with him. She tried him on a bottle and after much work he did try only to have milk come out his nose with this also. So she showed me how to tube him and gave me the supplies. Said this was his best chance as by now he was certainly going downhill. So I took him home tubed him for the first 12 hours with half formula half Pedialite. I had to feed every hour as the Pedialite just ran threw him. I slowly put more and more formula in compared to the Pedialite after he was hydrated. By this morning he is a different puppy. Very,Very fiesty, noisey, and becoming quite a handfull to tube. Screams bloody murder as you tube him, and who knew a little guy like him could be so strong. He is now eating every 2 hours and has a huge pot belly like his brother. He has been eating an amazing 12cc's each feeding. This seems to make him happy. All along I have tried to keep mom involved as much as possible. Although I tube feed him she is always there watching and cleaning him. I can now put the pup on one of her nipples(one that's been nursed down a little from brother) after each feeding so he can try. I have to hold him in a certain postion or he still gets milk out his nose. Tried him once on her today without tubing and even holding him in a good position did'nt help then(too overzealous). After tubing he has enough that he nurses more normal. I don't want to give up on him returning to mom and him losing his suckle response. What do you guys think? All I can say is he would be dead by now if not for tubing, and he seems healthier than ever. Do you think I will have to do this for along time? Seems as though he just can't suckle without practically drowning himself. I'm hoping a few more days of this and he will work something out. Has anyone ever tubed one for an extended period of time(weeks). When can he try some mush food(3 weeks?) Again any advise would be appreciated. At least he's alive and fiesty now at day 4. Thanks again guys!!!

I can't offer any advice on your questions, but i just wanted to say.....give yourself a big pat on the back because like you said if it wasn't for you tubing this little guy, he wouldn't be here now :-)

So good to hear he's doing so much better, perhaps if you keep going the way you are he'll learn to pace himself, it's surprising how quickly the time will pass tho, and as he gets bigger he'll need feeding less often.  Hope he keeps getting stronger.
