Despite my experience of dogs and keeping a close eye on my 5 month pup, he managed to steal and eat my daughters tights. Unfortunately they got stuck and he had to have an op to remove them (5 incisions in his bowel). Pretty serious and vet says lucky to be here. He's now well on the road to recovery and looking great. Problem now is that I have to watch him even more carefully because he mustn't be allowed anything that might splinter in his tum. So no sticks, no bones, no rawhide, no pig hooves or ears, no plush type toys (his favourite)..etc!!. Can anyone give me any advice on what I could give him treatwise, especially when I go out. He already has a filled kong but it lasts about 1 minute!! Also can anyone suggest some good makes of soft toys that are good quality that I can give him to play with under supervision? Rubber toys don't interest him at all.
Thanks in anticiption for your help.

with the kong have you tried putting it in the freezer , before you give it to him it may last longer with the middle frozen.
