Yes, I was absolutely serious.  I have one female and one male.  I want to know which one to introduce next - male or female.  Thanks v much.  Very sorry for any confusion caused. 

Id say another female but thats probably just because thats how mine adjusted better, i think aslong as you havent got a really dominant male you should be ok with another male. Is your male well socialised with other males. I think the same would also go for a female.

I think that maybe a female as well, because if you get another male they may well fight when your bitch comes into season, but on saying that if you have another female then your male dog will be stressed more often, are you keeping up here I think I'm loosing myself :)

Maybe you should consider having your current dogs spayed or neutured (although lots of people don't agree with this) if you have not already done so, then introducing a new pup should be easier. Bitches can fight as much as dogs, I have too bitches that will not share the same run, although they are ok in the car. Still I would still be inclined to go for a female as long as you have good safeguards from your male when they come into season.

I agree with the other posts go for a female it's more natural than having to males.

my females come on heat together so it might not be as much stress for the male if they do come on heat  together, i would suggest getting the females neutered unless you have somewhere your boy can stay ie with a relative or go to kennels.
