There are the YKC handling classes at Crufts
<YKC Classes and Events
Registered clubs and societies provide YKC classes throughout the year for members to participate in and try to qualify for Crufts. In addition the YKC hosts a number of events each year where members new to the world of dogs can train, and those more experienced compete.

Crufts
The YKC has its own ring at Crufts that is run by Senior Members. YKC members take part in many competitions as a result of their continued hard work throughout the year at YKC classes and events, and there is always something exciting to either compete in or watch. The attractions include Stakes, Handling, Obedience, Agility, Flyball, Jumping, Triathlons, Biathlons, Heelwork to Music and Grooming>

But how do you qualify?  I know they organise events we qualified our eldest show girl for the YKC stakes at crufts last year but I was wondering about the handling.  I have looked through the books and there is no mention of qualifing for crufts but it could just be me and small print.

I think it is by winning the YKC handling classes at Champ Shows They had them at Blackpool

You could contact the YKC via the KC site & one of the reps will e mail you back

Leanne said it all.  All members get a list of qualifying shows at the begining of each year.  PLus afew that get missed out.

Once you have qualified the YKC will contact you (your daughter) with an invite to handle at the end of the year.  If you think you have qualified and don't get an entry form then phone them up.  neither myself or my brother got an entry last year because they messed it up!  Still got in!!!!
