Henry has had an interdigital cyst between his toe but that cleared when I soaked it.

I noticed on Sunday however that inbetween his pads underneath where the cyst was, it is very red and looks like a blister that has burst and left the skin like a hole (like when we get blisters and they burst and the skin comes off).  He's favouring it a bit.

Can anyone help?

It's very difficult with paws :) Mine had a very bad problem with her paw last year. The best thing is just to keep it clean - dip the whole paw in a bowl of tepid salty water after every walk and just keep an eye on it :)

What about purple iodine spray - use this all the time on our horses cuts.

ARe you sure that it IS an interdigital cyst and not a grass seed/barley awn?

If you are worried I would consider giving either hephar sulph or silica to help expel the seed if any.

I would be very sure it WAS a cyst before I considered thinking about helping the skin to heal over by bathing with colloidal silver and perhaps using aloe vera over it.

You may be able to asnwer a question ?? Is there any point in putting ointments like ALoe Vera on something if the dog seems to immediately lick it off ?? :) I have used it with my dogs, but am unsure whether it really does any good as it gets licked off quickly :)

Well I personally would not class Aloe Vera as an ointment, but then that is because I am a pedant........ ;)

You can put ointments et al on things and either prevent them from licking by using a collar or by putting something on top that they do not like.

Fortunately Aloe Vera is ok internally although too much will give you the squits!

Looking underneath his paw last night in between his large pad and his "toe pad" (sorry only wayI can think of describing them!) and he has 2 tiny puncture holes.  It's not red anymore it's gone normal colour, there are no lumps, it is flat.  I am thinking maybe he has trodden on something that has punctured his skin but that it has come out again??

you could soak it 2 -3 times a day in hibscrub.
