If you feed your dogs on a complete dry food then replace the training treats with this and just cut down the amount in thier main meal by the amount you used in their training (does that make sense) :)

I do as above i take a handfull out of their daily food and use as treats.
You could try some vegetables or a little fruit. I can train my two with cucumber though cheese or liver cake is preferred ;) I have made treats out of baking Naturediet before so that may also be an option depending on what type of moist food you feed, however you would have to cut down their meals.

If you feed any treats
at all, cut down their meals. It's the only way.

what is nature diet....are the cucumber and things a diet option...
Naturediet is a moist food which can be baked into treats (however this is not a low fat option - it was merely to mention that depending on what moist food you feed you may be able to bake it and use it as treats whilst cutting down their main meal). Cucumber is very low in fat ;) As are carrots etc - which make healthy training treats.
You will still probably have to cut down on the amount you feed in their main meals however.

Carrots, pieces of Apple. Lettuce Hearts.
