I watched a European dog show and saw 2 different breeds of red and white dogs.  I believe they may be in the retriever group and possibly the spaniel group...can someone help me......I would like pictures for a possible purchase.  Thanks.

Buying a dog is more than just seeing one you like and then buying one.When you discover what breed it was you saw you need to research the breed and decide if the dogs requirements suit your style of living.Not all breeds are the same.Differences such as temperament,exercise requirements,grroming and coat care needs etc will affect wether they are suitable for you.

There are two main groups of gundogs recognized by the Federation Cynologique Internationale

Off the top of my head there are the Irish Red and White Setters and the Welsh Springer Spaniels.  there are also the Belenheim colour pattern in the Cavalier King Charles and King Charles Spaniels.  Also Brittany's can be this colour too.

The Novia Scotia Duck Tolling Retreiver as well.........  I hope you can find which one it is to enable you to research the breed fully ;)
