my english bull bitch will pee and sleep in it. she has pee stains on her behind and tail, what's the best way to get it out?

Hello guest powdered chalk is good, put it on and rub well in ,leave it for awhile and brush out.
Have you considered buying some vet beds for your bully as this will keep her dry best wishes Mari

I would have her checked by a vet. If this is incontinence, there is medication that could help her. Is she spayed/and/or overweight? does she only do this when she is asleeep?

If she is young she could have a problem with the conection of her urethra and blatdder, and ectopic ureter I think it is called. Vet bed would ceratinly help to keep the urine away from the skin, and a pad of newspaper under to soak it up. Really you want to get to the bottom of why she is wetting!

Your vet can prescribe a liquid called Propalin Syrup you can give her to tighten her urethra and keep her dry overnight but they will have to see her first and rule out anything else.
Take a urine sample with you when you go to the vet so that they can test it for infection and save time!

 Above message is only applicable if your dog has developed this problem in adulthood and is not a little puppy that needs to be let out more!

Lara, I had a male dog that piddled - and sometimes did worse! - in his bed throughout a long and healthy life. I never did work out what was going on. He was clean in the house otherwise, was home bred so he didn't learn to be dirty in the nest, and got the same training and freedom as the others. He just liked a smelly bed!

I knew a bloke who did that after too many beers  ...........briefly :D
Another man thing!

Lara, I've only ever seen himself dead drunk once. We went to a cocktail party (of sorts!) at an anaesthetist friend's home. I don't know what she put into the four different coloured demi-johns of 'cocktails', but I still suspect experimental anaesthetic agents and maybe some rat poision. When I saw the first paper cup dissolve when the stuff was poured into it, I decided that it wasn't for me, and wedged myself beside the coffee pot. But HE had found a busty blonde with a sports car to talk to hadn't he? And when the blonde brought him several glassfuls of each potion he was dazzled enough by her ..... conversation .... to drink them all straight down. Which is why the hostess came to me later and asked me to control my husband who was doing things with ice cubes and the blonde's very low neckline. Once controlled, he collapsed. Only to revive and throw up right beside the hostess' toilet bowl. That was cleaned, and he was taken home. I even got him upstairs before I started to clean the mess beside our toilet bowl. By the time I got back to him, he hadn't made the bed smelly. But he had draped himself horizontally across it, wearing suit jacket, shirt, tie, socks, shoes - and nothing else. But it was worth a night in the spare room to see this pale, green, sweating object wandering around in the morning, clutching the wolfhound's bowl under his chin :D.
