I know its silly but we seem to have some shows which we are unlucky at and some which we always have a good day at.
We've just got back from Blackpool...done it for the last 4 years now and every year we've had probably our worst results for each year...think we might give a miss next year :d

I never do well at Blackpool.  We got a first the first year of showing and since then awful.  I usually do well at club shows but I think my favourite venue is Stafford.  Got my first ticket there, won the open stakes, got BPB, but I also know my eldest girl shows best indoors and my youngest girl is best outdoors.  I also have lucky clothes, my husband has a unlucky jacket which refuses to change in spite of my persistant moaning and lastly lucky earings.  I also know if I see a single magpie I might as well go home ;)  In fact I am a bundle of superstions when I show.

I don't like even numbered ringnumbers.  I always feel I might as well go home now when I see my number is "12702" or whatever.  It's the first thing I check when I get to a show.  Multiples of ten or seven are acceptable though.
Leeds is my unlucky show, but Border Union and Birmingham National are lucky shows for me.

Oh god no I hadnt thought of the ring numbers to be superstious about!  Now you know I am going to have to go through and see if there is a pattern. ;)

I have been lucky at Crufts - eldest boy and girl always placed, my puppy bitch I bred BP and her litter brother getting 1st puppy dog same year, both of them winning their classes the next year, with my girl gaining her stud book number, and the little boy a second this year (mine wasnt there due to season).

My lucky show must be Southern Counties.  Of the last 4 occasions I have exhibited there I have owned/jointly owned the BOB and 3 of those occasions the Best of Breed was my Jozi with Best Bitch the other year.  In addition this year her daughter was Reserve Best bitch, and I bred the reserve Best dog too.

Rossendale Open Show only been a few times and won BIS and res. BIS :d  Not been for a couple of years, will have to take the daughter of Mel who won the above at this show and see if she's as lucky as her dad :d
