
You can get your FCR eye tested for glaucoma at any time from 6 months of age, for goniodygenesis, (predisposition to glaucoma). The standard eye tests for PRA (progressive retinal atrophy), and HC (hereditary cataracts) testing can be done at the same time although it is usual to get this done at the age of one year. The glaucoma test is officially a "one off for life" test, however the breed society health committee do advise that it is redone at 7 or 8 years as age related changes can affect the eye. The standard BVA test for PRA & HC are carried out on a yearly basis.
