hi can any one help me i have a 6month old vizsla he is excellent the only problem we have is that as soon as i leave the house and he is left with my wife he will start to bite and nip her as soon as i open the door he stops every thing we do seams to fail has any one got any advice on how do get round this problem

Maybe he is bullying/keeping her in check while the boss? is away. For a while let just your wife feed and walk him, just to let him know that he needs to depend/keep her sweet too. I had this problem on a slightly larger scale a while ago and this is how we dealt with it. A breeder friend of mine told me and my husband to swap perfumes/aftershaves - I think that was a joke, we'd get some funny stares. :-D

Your wife should also groom your dog everyday - grooming to dogs is not about looking good it is about social control and bonding.  She should do this on lead and not allow the dog to wriggle or bite the brush.
Training exercises should also be done by your wife, just the basics, sit stand and down and she should use food to lure him into position but again good control exercies.
