I have an 8mth old Staffordshire Bull Terrier bitch, she hasn't come into season yet, how long would i expect to wait? also how long does it last for?

A bitch can come  into season any time after 6 months ish. My afghan bitch didnt get her first until 18 months. A bitches season lasts 21 days, day 1 is the first day that you notice bleeding. It is necessary to keep the bitch separate from males for the whole time, and I usually wait until day 24 before allowing supervised access to males. During a season the bitch can attract males from far away, so dont leave her unsupervised in your garden either, or you may get an unplanned litter.
