Ok try this for fun.

There is a Lily growing in a pond. Every day it doubles its size, and after 365 days it covers the pond.
The question is, How long did it take to cover half the pond?

Every working day a man leaves his flat on the 13th floor and goes to the lift to get to the ground floor.
When he comes home he gets in the lift and pushes the putton for the 9th floor, gets out and walkes up the rest of the way via the stairs. Why?

Is it because he's too small to reach the buttons, or is he supersticious (sp) ?

Lily pond answer is  It takes 364 days as the lily is only half the size as it doubles each day its size.

man/lift answer        He is a midget and can't reach the higher buttons
